Classic Cars: An Appraisal Example

Writer's picture: lesleydlawrencelesleydlawrence

I was raised on classic cars. My Mom and Dad met due to a MG TD 54 (yep 54 - only 100 produced in 1954)! Based on the beauty and design of these fine vehicles, how can I NOT see them as pieces of fine art (in addition to being fun and often fierce to drive)? I appraise everyday vehicles to classics. Here’s a favorite from last year: a 2021 Shelby Mustang GT500. This gorgeous beast came with ALL the extras (such as the Carbon Fiber Track Package), and that 5.2 liter V-8 is the most powerful engine put into a Ford production car. Less than 5000 were produced in 2021, and the new buyer also received a Autodromo GT Chronograph Owner’s Edition watch and Carbon Fiber-cased GT500 Kit, featuring the interior material swatches, custom paint and more. What a thrill!!
